The short version
By using Stint, you agree to these terms. Stint is a personal life-coaching app that uses AI. It is not a therapist, medical provider, financial advisor, or legal counsel. If you're in crisis, please reach a real human professional.
Who we are
Stint is operated by Stint Labs LLC, a Virginia limited liability company ("Stint," "we," "us"). These terms are the agreement between you and Stint Labs LLC.
The service
Stint provides AI-powered life coaching, habit tracking, task management, journaling, scheduling, and related personal-development tools. We may change, add, or remove features as the product evolves.
AI-generated content disclaimer
The AI coach is just that, an AI. It can be wrong. It is NOT:
- A licensed therapist, counselor, or mental health professional.
- A licensed physician or medical provider.
- A licensed financial advisor.
- A licensed attorney.
You should not rely on AI-generated content for medical, legal, financial, or mental health decisions. When you're in doubt, and especially when you're in crisis, please consult a real human professional. You are responsible for your own decisions and actions.
Account
You must be at least 13 years old to use Stint. You're responsible for keeping your account secure. Don't share your credentials. You're responsible for everything that happens on your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Stint for unlawful purposes.
- Try to extract, jailbreak, or manipulate the AI to produce harmful content.
- Use Stint to harm yourself or others.
- Use Stint as a general-purpose AI API proxy (we monitor for this and will block it).
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or build competing products from your usage.
- Share, sell, or transfer your account.
Third-party services & trademarks
Stint runs on top of third-party providers (for example, our AI provider, payment processor, and hosting). Any third-party product names or trademarks are the property of their respective owners; where we reference them, it is only to describe compatibility, and such references don't imply partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement. If a feature depends on a third party, we don't guarantee that third party will remain available.
Pricing & billing
Stint offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Your plan, its price, and its limits are shown at signup and in your settings before you pay. Founding members who join during the private beta pay nothing during the beta and keep their founding rate as described at signup. Paid plans are billed through Stripe and auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. Refunds are handled case-by-case, so reach out and we'll be reasonable.
Plan limits & fair use
Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI messages, shown at signup and in settings. These allowances exist to keep the service sustainable and to prevent Stint from being used as a raw AI API proxy. If you consistently need more than your plan allows, contact us and we'll help you find the right plan.
Cancellation
You can cancel anytime from Settings → Account. You'll keep access through the end of your current billing period. We don't prorate partial periods.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these terms.
- Engage in fraud, harassment, or abuse.
- Attempt to extract harmful content from the AI.
If we terminate your account for cause, your data is deleted within 30 days. Otherwise the standard delete flow applies (see the Privacy Policy).
Disclaimers
Stint is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties about fitness for any particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or that AI output will be accurate. AI-generated advice may be wrong, misleading, or unsuitable, and you assume all risk of relying on it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stint Labs LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Stint is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) $50.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stint Labs LLC against claims arising from your misuse of Stint or your violation of these terms.
Dispute resolution & arbitration
Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to first contact us at legal@stinthq.com so we can try to resolve it directly. Most issues are settled this way.
If we can't, you and Stint Labs LLC agree that any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring a claim in small-claims court. You and Stint agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative action. Arbitration will be seated in Virginia. If this class-action waiver is found unenforceable, the rest of this section still applies.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll notify you in-app before it takes effect. Continued use after the change means you accept it.
